Chicago has been blessed with an indian summer.  80 degrees in October?!? Couldn’t be nicer! Green City Farmers Market is definitely a perfect Saturday activity.  So with my camera in hand, I ventured out into the crowds to see if I could find anything colorful and yummy for lunch.  I ended up buying purple potatoes, carrots, garlic, honeycrisp apples, some flavored cheese curds,  purple basil, and mixed greens.  Starved I decided to make something easy, so I made purple potato and carrot mash with a mixed green, purple basil and red onion salad.
